We are pleased to offer two required, WA D.O.L. courses in one day! We are offering CORE and WA Fair Housing back-to-back, so you can choose to attend one or both!

CORE (9:00 AM - Noon)
The Washington State Real Estate Commission and the Department of Licensing have adopted rules that require the completion of a minimum 3.0 clock hours of prescribed core curriculum. The mandatory clock hours must be included in the 30 hours required for all active licensees.
Topics included: National and State Legislative Issues, Legal Updates, Business Practice, Residential Real Estate Practices, and Real Estate Advertising.

WA Fair Housing (1PM - 4PM)
The purpose of this course is to introduce real estate brokers and managing brokers to the federal Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. 3601 et seq.) and the Washington Law Against Discrimination (chapter 49.60 RCW) as it relates to real estate transactions.
The course will teach real estate brokers and managing brokers the historical and societal context of housing discrimination, legal framework intended to prevent housing discrimination, and steps to take to prevent housing discrimination.

NOTE: Refunds WILL NOT be issued for cancellations or no-shows. If you need to cancel your registration, KCAR will issue a credit equal to the cost of the cancelled registration. Contact KCAR directly to cancel. Credits will not be issued to no-shows without advance cancellation.

What Is an MRP Certification, and Who Is It For?
The Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certification is for real estate professionals who want to work with current and former military service members. The MRP certification program educates REALTORS® about working with U.S. service members and their families and veterans to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and to take full advantage of available benefits and support.
Benefits of Becoming an MRP

Understanding of the processes and procedures involved in a military relocation and how these impact service members’ relocation and housing choices

Ability to provide information to help members through a rent or buy, sell or rent decision-making process

Ability to identify and provide services that help service members sell or find and purchase suitable homes

The knowledge of the military relocation process you need to guide service members through the real estate transaction

Ability to explain the basics of VA financing

Access to the members-only marketing tools and resources
The Military Relocation Professional Certification Core course is an approved elective for the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) designation.

NOTE: The cost of this 2-day course includes 8 Continuing Education credits applicable to your next license renewal, and lunch and refreshments on both days of the class.
​
NOTE: A one-time $195 application fee will be charged by NAR in addtion to the class cost. to receive your MRP certificate. There are no annual dues for the MRP certification. You can still take the course and receive CE credit without applying for a certification.
